Filming

Today we decided to film our final scene (we still have 2 more scenes to film, but these are of the mental home patient and we had decided that it would take far too much time to do the villains hair and make up as well as the mental home patients). The film that we had to film was the final scene that would be shown at the end of the trailer, this would be our most interesting shot of the villain coming right up to the camera, we decided that as we wanted to use a range of different shots in the trailer we would use a pan shot showing an empty field where the villain (played by actress Shona) would jump up at the camera and scream into the lens. To do this scene we needed Shona to crouch down in front of the camera and then pop up - as if out of nowhere when instructed to, the pan was quite simple to do, but we needed to do it a few times as sometimes the camera would move to fast and we wanted it to spin around slowly, however we got the shot we wanted after just five takes once we worked out how fast the pan should be, as Shona knew exactly what we wanted the scene to be like she was able to portray the characters anger and madness perfectly for the final scene by letting out a sharp, pained scream directly into the camera.
