Adding final touches

On Thursday 15th December we had to add the final touches to our trailer as it was the final lesson we had to edit, we decided to make a few changes to the trailer we wanted the final scene to be after the title as this would add an element of surprise to the trailer as the viewers would expect the trailer to end once they see the title but the next clip would scare the viewers as it is when Scarlet screams into the camera. We also needed to merge all of the clips together so that there were no pauses between the clips, we also had to check over the sound as we were unsure about how the tag line sounded, as we had recorded each member of the group saying each word of the tag line we found that they all flowed nicely except for the word 'into' which was unusually high pitched and squeaky and it did not fit in with the rest of the tag line as it all sounded gloomy and spooky except for the one word. We tried to alter the sound as best we could by changing the speed and duration of the sound, this made the voices sound deeper which sounded much more sinister but the word 'into' is still much louder. We then made sure that the rest of the sound flowed nicely - we shortened some of the sound clips so that they fit in with the clip that we paired the with, watched the trailer once more and then began to export the clip onto i-dvd so that we could begin burning the three disks.
